For Those Going to Order - Wait till this week.
Thank you to everyone who has bought a book so far! The first small run of books that were printed is pretty much sold out. The publisher has made a couple minor tweaks on the cover (for the better), added another great blurb review from former WSU offensive lineman Rob Rainville (thanks, Rob!), and added a few missing words that were "missing" for some reason. If you are planning on ordering soon, another, larger run of books (with the above tweaks) will be available this coming week. For those asking, the book will be available on Amazon.com & Barnes & Noble.com sometime in November. Also, a big thanks goes out to Josh Johnson (not our J.J.) and the Liberty Lake Splash for the nice article. Lastly, thank you to Cherie Holm (GMS Librarian) and our great P.T.A. for allowing me to sell my book at the Scholastic Book Fair this week. It was a huge success! Thanks again. JF

Briet Synopsis of Murder at Foxbluff Lake: A Coug Hawkins Mystery
The residents of the tiny town of Foxbluff Lake live a quiet existence. For 15 year old Coug Hawkins, the son of a former football legend at Washington State University, summer has just started. He is looking forward to another summer of fishing excursions and camping trips with his two closest friends. Little does he know that the shocking discovery of a disfigured body found in the lake; coupled with the mysterious dissappearance of a local bartender, will put a halt to any summer adventures they have already planned.
Just over the border, the people responsible for the grisly murder and the dissappearance are planning their next move. A multi-million dollar enterprise is all the motivation the men need to keep not only their business a secret, but their brutal acts, as well.
Coug Hawkins and his friends get in their way.

Cover Art & Copyright Process
Looks like its back to Conconully for more pictures. Yes! The publisher likes a couple of the pictures I took up there a few weeks ago, but wants different angles, more close-ups/far away shots, etc. Also, I have completed the copyright process. Now just waiting for confirmation that the story and the character Coug Hawkins is mine.

Short Story Published
My first short story, "The Social History of Bourbon", was published in the Fall 2009 Edition of SpokeWrite - The Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Journal of Art and Writing. It revolves around a silly premise involving a quote from a classic John Wayne movie & a 1st year teacher who likes to have a good time. And yes, he is a Wazzu grad.
